Another year gone by. And what a year it has been!

Happiness is truly 2020 in the rear view mirror!

Regardless of what lies ahead in the New Year, we need to take a look at ourselves and see what we can do better.

Most of us make ridiculous New Year’s Resolutions that we have no way of keeping for a few weeks or days, much less a whole year.

So let’s do something different this year and make our resolutions just one word or two. Something achievable.

Try to exercise patience if you are in traffic and you don’t…

Do you believe in love at first sight?

I always thought that was a little girl’s fantasy. Something whispered about at pajama parties and teenage sleepovers. Giggling teenagers planning their weddings and looking forward to having babies.

But then I met the man that was to become my husband and I fully understood.

When our eyes met, I knew that he was the one and only one!

How often does that happen to anyone?

Most of us go thru life searching for our one and only.

Ladies,we all know that sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs before…

When you’re born, you start out life sleeping in a bed of some kind. Your mom put you in a crib. And sometimes, you might find yourself sleeping with your mom in her bed. Your father may be there, also.

As you grow up, you may have brothers or sisters that share your room. Bunk beds are common for kids that share sleeping space. You have your own bed. It feels comforting, because it’s your own bed.

If you’re lucky, as you get older, you may get your own bedroom. …

We all come into this world the same way naked, crying and with nothing.

When we leave this world, we may not be naked or crying, but we can’t take anything with us.

I am looking back at my life trying to figure out the what and why’s of my view points. Reflections.

I’ve been alone a good part of my life.

As an only child, my mother was my only companion. My father worked away from home, so we were not close. He was never around to attend any school events.

I met other children in school but they…

I am not unique or special. Life deals a hand to everyone at some point. Your age is not a factor. You will suffer the pain of death. Younger people always think that they are immune from the pain of suffering a death.

We all have loss of dear ones in our family. Could be that your grandparents may have passed and you accept it thinking that they were old or ill, so death is to be expected. You miss them, but their passing away does not alter your life significantly.

As a woman, you may have watched your husband…

Rainy days and Mondays always get me down

My husband died suddenly on a Monday morning about 10 months ago.

I relive it every Monday morning.

It seems like 10 minutes ago to me.

I am still in denial and disbelief.

Only people who have ever experienced this type of grief can understand the feelings.

There is no describing the feeling inside of me. Empty. Hollow. Pain.

I pace around the house like a caged animal.

I have a hard time focusing on anything.

Trying to pick up the pieces of what is left of my life.

So many women are left trying to decide what to do…

These are supposed to be happy times and much anticipated gatherings.

Just like in a Hallmark movie, right? All smiles, white teeth and happy families getting together with lots of gifts and food. Doesn’t everybody live like that?

Well, no, no they don’t. We need to remember that many families are not always happy because of differences some family members have with each other, which can create very stressful times around the dinner table.

But for those of us that have experienced one of the worst times of our lives, the death of our loved one, the sadness brought on…

We all work for the ultimate reward. Retirement.

This is the time to live life on your own terms. No clocking in and answering to a boss, and no more commuting and working weekends.
