Circumstances change our lives and we become products of our environment. I have lost all friends that I had known for over 30 years. Nothing was said, they drifted away as we were miles apart. Jealousy and other emotions play a big role. People are not supposed to stay in our life for as long as we live, I guess. Even family can be distant. The more I see of people, the more I love dogs!
