Following trends can be disastrous, so where are the walls?

For a few years now we’ve seen many Home Decor TV shows with so called all knowing decorators telling us to blow out walls and make our homes feel like a warehouse.

Open concept they call it.

Pushing this idea has been followed by many people who think they need help decorating. We all have different tastes and likes and dislikes. Many of the final results shown by these decorators are definitely not what I would want to live with daily.

The only taste that some of these decorators have is in their mouths!

These so-called decorators think their word is law. They will deliver you from decorating hell, if you follow them. Be sure to bring your check book.

I do not like big bright, busy tiles in the kitchen or bathrooms.

Everybody is painting their walls gray.

Please tell me this fad is over!

Gray walls do not brighten up a room. They remind me of a hospital. Or maybe a prison cell. Gray is not a flattering color to most of us.

Ship lap is not new. If you have ship lap behind sheet rock on your walls, you’ve just discovered old wood, not gold.
