Klara Jane, This is a very informative article. I have never heard of Life Plan Communities. Every one should think about this since youth is fleeting.

Having kids is no guarantee of help if you need it. Too many times elder parents become a nuisance. Kids are busy being busy. They don't have the time to give to you after you gave them your time as they were growing up.

I am seeking options for my life as I am a new widow, had to sell my big house and bought something smaller and in a neighborhood.I looked at over 55 active apartments in Charlotte and put a deposit of a 1,000.00 down, which I lost as my house did not close in time. I am still healthy and don't want to be where everyone is ill.I don't look my age.

Hoping to meet some friends my age, 70. I am going to search for info on this LPC.

Don't know if it's affordable. I will be following along with your journey, as I think it sounds wonderful. You must do what is comfortable for you. I read thru twice and didn't see if you mentioned owning a car.

Maybe you won't need one. Hugs and luck!
