People who make mean comments are just jealous or feel inferior. Never pay attention to them and they will have no hold on you. Much of social media is a waste. Is it social to be an asshole? Would you invite these people into your house? I doubt it, so therefore they don't need to be on your computer. They hide behind their keyboards because they can, but most wouldn't have the balls to say these things to your face if they were standing in front of you! Don't waste your life on these types.
