Reading about Willow, I would say that she had separation anxiety, since she has no way of knowing if you are coming back. She may have stopped eating and drinking. We are assuming that she was given food and water at the kennel. My parents boarded my cocker spaniel for a week when I was a child at the vet's. We had a family emergency, but when we came back to get him, he was sad and listless until he heard me call his name. He perked right up, but the vet said he was grieving himself to death because we left him. Dogs don't want to be seperated from their people. They don't understand.I would NEVER use a daycare or kennel. Imagine what the dog feels, as she was in her home one minute and put into a cage the next. If my dogs can't go with me, I don't go. Maybe next time someone you know could house sit for you and Willow could stay home with her things. I hope that she is doing well.
