Richard, this is so well written and true. How did we get to be so old? Where did the years go? And friends do leave you for whatever reason, not always death. Sometimes, they wake up one morning and they don't like you anymore! Who knows why? There is no explanation for this behavior. At least, that's happened to me. Life goes on until it doesn't.
