What a terrible, frightening experience. There are so many awful things that could have happened to you as you were very vulnerable. I always hope that I will be able to return home when I leave the house as I have no one to help me if anything goes awry. I think people ignore because they don't want to get involved for many reasons. They always hope someone else will step up and help. I'm surprised that the police were not called to help you. I see a change in American society. People are rude, pushy and self absorbed. There is so much hate and intolerance. And fear. I could go on and on, but enough said. We are not a kinder, gentler nation. Thankfully your horrible experience did finally have a good ending. But it is something you will never forget. Take care.
